Web Application Penetration Testing: Introduction to the Web and HTTP Protocol

What about this course?

This course covers Intro to the Web and HTTP Protocol. In this course, you will learn about the basics of attacks against a web server hosting a website. Websites are the primary way a company represents itself passively to the world. It is the location they draw in all new customers. It is vitally important to most organizations to have a website that is secure and available to the public. Because of this, it is important to test websites for vulnerabilities and identify all potential threats to confidentiality, integrity, and availability on a company’s website. Some websites are an interface for services on a network or portals for employees. These sites may provide greater potential for loss to an organization because of the access they provide to an attacker or the impact on business operations that may ensue from disruption. You will learn to investigate and enumerate a website to find these vulnerabilities.
