Rapid Spanning-Tree and M ...

Rapid Spanning-Tree and MST

What about this course?

The course will provide all the details you’ve ever needed to know about RSTP and MST. It starts with an in-depth discussion of 802.1w, the mechanisms that make it more “rapid” than 802.1d, BPDU format, the RSTP Synchronization process, 802.1t cost values, and concludes with a discussion about the RSTP Topology Change process. Building on that foundation, it then adds the element of 802.1s MST. You will learn about how MST accomplishes traffic load-balancing in a different way than PVST, how to configure MST, predict STP port-states on the MST Virtual-Bridge, and even how to diagnose and troubleshoot PVST-Simulation Failures.
