Learn MoreIn this course we will start from scratch defining experiments, events and probability, but quickly move to start calculating some probabilities. You will learn the fundamental properties and rules we need in order to be able to calculate more complex probabilities, such as the product and addition rule. Also, you will learn about conditional probability and independence, and Bayes’ rule and how to use it. By the end of the course, you will be able to tell how likely it is to get a royal flush in a hand of 5 poker cards, or to decide what is the probability of having a certain rare disease given that the test gave a positive result.
