How long does it take to learn security?

This all will depend on the individual learner as everyone learns at a different pace. Typically, it will take a student approximately one to two years to learn the basics of security. However, with the continuous evolution of the online and digital landscape, we encourage you to never stop learning! Whether you’re just starting out or a seasoned professional, there is always something new to explore.

What certifications are given by the cloud vendors?

The major cloud vendors (AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud) have role-based certifications.  AWS and Azure both have fundamental level, associate level and professional/expert level certifications as well as specialty certifications. With Google, there is one associate level certification and several professional level certifications.

Which cloud vendor would you recommend learning about?

Not surprisingly there is no right answer to this. Each cloud has a substantial market and opportunities for growth. I suggest starting with a more general approach, trying all three major clouds while learning fundamental concepts. You can then choose a cloud to focus more on as you gain experience. INE is developing our  cloud content this way - starting with general cloud concepts and building toward specific cloud implementation.

What are the most in-demand programming languages?

Python is the most common language used in Data Science for its flexibility and broad applicability (Data Analysis, Machine Learning, Data Processing, even Web Development and system scripting). Python is followed by R, which is more popular in some finance positions or heavy-duty data applications. We also have Julia and D which are more niche/academic languages. C++ is far less common in Data Science, but it's used to train heavy-performance Machine Learning models.
