There is a huge gap of Service Provider professionals on the market, so Cisco’s current CCNP Service Provider blueprint was built to train engineers on emerging technologies and make them ready for challenging real-life environments. As opposed to Bootcamp courses, these technology courses provide a mix of slide demonstration, visual explanations of how technologies work and the reasoning behind it, followed by configuration examples to enforce the knowledge. Slides should be used as a reference for the exam, while the examples as a reference for real-life deployments. Lab topologies will be designed, explaining the objective for each design, and then built from scratch by the instructor, nothing being pre-scripted, pre-tested or pre-recorded . During the process, the instructor will intentionally demonstrate the effects of misconfigurations and failures, randomly making learners think how to approach a specific problem, never seen before. Additionally, a focus will also be on building a proper study and learning methodology, which has nothing to do with command or configuration template memorization.

This course will cover configuring, verifying, and troubleshooting IPv4 and IPv6 advanced OSPF and IS-IS configuration, BGP configuration, using Cisco IOS-XR RPL to implement routing policies, and implementing high availability routing supporting a service provider network. This course covers the Cisco IOS, IOS-XE and IOS-XR operating systems. As the course progresses, a full routing implementation of a Service Provider core infrastructure will be laid out, detailed technology explanations coupled with white-boarding to illustrate and help the viewer visualize what is going on. Using Wireshark capability for packet capture.

This course will cover configuring, verifying, and troubleshooting IPv4 and IPv6 advanced BGP configuration, IP multicasting, and IPv6 transition mechanisms in implementing and supporting a service provider network. This exam covers the Cisco IOS, IOS-XE and IOS-XR operating systems. As the course progresses, picking up where we left off in the Route course, we will fully implement advanced routing features in the Service Provider core.
