The CCIE Candidate’s Guide to MPLS L3 VPNs
What about this course?
This project will cover the end-to-end configuration of an MPLS L3 VPN setup in a series of segmented 30-minutes videos. Each video will tackle, in chronological order (BGP-free MPLS core with OSPF, PE router VRF configuration, iBGP peerings, PE-CE routing protocols, etc.), the setup and configuration of a fully functional MPLS L3 VPN. OSPF and EIGRP will be highlighted as the PE-CE routing protocols (due to the added complexity they bring to the configuration over eBGP) with a focus on the subtleties that each protocol brings to the equation. A look at back-door links for both protocols will be investigated as well as the loop prevention mechanisms that come into play.
