What is a Written Exam Bootcamp?

Our CCIE Security Written Exam Bootcamp is five days of intensive, hands-on, instructor-led training. The instructor will alternate between presenting material and guiding attendees through hands-on, real-world exercises. Attendees will be provided access to a complete rack system encompassing the necessary topology.

The goal of our Written Exam Bootcamp is to equip students with a foundation-level knowledge of Cisco Security technologies. The primary focus of the class is core concepts and topics found on the CCIE written exam.

Who should take it?

Our Written Exam Bootcamp is for anyone who is beginning their CCIE journey, but already has at least a CCNP-level knowledge of networking. Though a CCNP is not required, we strongly recommend at least 3-5 years of field experience prior to attempting a CCIE.

To prepare for this course, we recommend that you review our CCNP and CCIE self-paced materials, which are available individually or in our All Access Pass. For further preparation, we recommend viewing the CCIE Security Advanced Technologies Class.

What can you expect?

This Bootcamp is structured to run 10 hours per day, with a one-hour lunch break. Each day will be a combination of lectures, Q&A sessions, and hands-on exercises. Students will also have full access to their lab equipment throughout the evening to continue practicing on their own or as together with other students.

Our lectures are dynamic and engaging, with a digital whiteboard system, and a significant amount of class time spent live on Cisco’s IOS command line interface working with a full network topology. Each student will have access to a complete rack of equipment.

As of November 1st 2017 - INE offers Bootcamp course reseats at a fee of $500; provided that the original Bootcamp was purchased at list price. If the Bootcamp was purchased at a discounted price, you will have to first pay the difference of the bootcamp as well as the reseat fee. Any promotional items (i.e. travel vouchers,electronic devices, etc) received will require you pay the cost of that item, up to $500,in addition to the reseat fee. This $500 reseat fee applies to purchases made within two years from the date of the original Bootcamp attended. Reseats after this two-year timeframe are available for purchase at discounted rate from the list price. The instructor Rohit was excellent! I really appreciated his approach to teaching the technologies using debugs and various show commands. He walked us thru broken configurations then thought us how to read the debugs and output to spot various errors. As a CCIE in R&S and a consultant I feel in most cases it's better to teach someone how to find the information versus simply teach them the right way to do it. During the lab and in production we all know issues come up and we are forced to isolate and resolve the problem.
